Job Description for Administrative Specialist I/Internal Medical Auditor

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The purpose of this position is to provide a wide range of mid-level administrative and office support activities for the Children, Youth & Families Division to facilitate efficient operations to best meet the needs of the clients and/or consumers.
SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be successful in this role by completing the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Audits and tracks documentation to ensure compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to meet requirements and mandates of programming to avoid remediation and disallowances.
- Provides backup to the clerical staff.
- Performs general clerical and customer service duties such as answering phones, greeting the public, answering general questions, and processing mail.
- Schedules appointments and maintains calendars essential for meeting critical deadlines and
- Creates, updates, and completes a variety of documents, including memos, letters, forms, and reports. May also transcribe case manager notes and proofread/edit client evaluations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with one to two years related experience and/or training required; or associate’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Three years related experience and/or training; or associate’s degree and one year experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
